Two of us. A CPA and the person you’ll actually hear from. We open a new department only when we can stand behind the work in it — so far, that’s two.
How we started
We’re siblings. Before any of this, we were the two kids running the lemonade stand — then a string of small family ventures after that, the ones who counted the float twice and actually paid back the startup loan. Somewhere in there a habit set in that never left.
Doing things properly, even when nobody was checking. That’s the part that turned out to matter.
Years later we’d gone our own ways — Alice into tax and public accounting, Danny into banking, sitting across the desk from people sorting out their money. We kept comparing notes. We kept noticing the same gap: good people who didn’t have anyone who’d actually pick up the phone. So we built the firm we wished those people had called. We figured if we could do things properly together at a lemonade stand’s scale, we could do it for real.
Where we are now
Two are live now; two more are on the way. We open each department only when we can personally stand behind the work in it — we’d rather grow slowly and mean it than launch wide and stretch thin.

The two of us
Alice M. Chen, CPA
Founding partner · Lead CPA
Alice has been a licensed CPA in Ontario for over a decade, most of it in tax, across both public accounting and industry. She’s the one who signs off. Every return, every reconciliation passes through her before it goes anywhere near a client. If something has our name on it, she has read it — that’s not a slogan, it’s just how she works. And it’s what makes the firm work.
Danny Chen
Founding partner · Account manager
Danny spent several years in banking and account management — sitting across from clients, working their accounts, making sure nothing slipped through. He’s who you’ll hear from week to week: the deadlines, the questions, the follow-ups. Alice signs the work. Danny owns the relationship. Between them, nothing falls in the gap — and if something’s late, it’ll be Danny telling you why.
How we work
We’re a young firm, and we work like we aren’t. We run on modern accounting software and we’re genuinely comfortable with it — it clears the busywork so our attention goes to the parts that need a person. But the tools don’t get the last word. Judgement doesn’t come from a dashboard. Software doesn’t sign a return; a CPA does.
We’re one firm, on purpose. If we keep your books and we file your tax, you’re never the courier between your own bookkeeper and your own tax preparer, re-explaining your business to two strangers. Here, the records and the context move from desk to desk on their own. You just get the answer.
Small enough to give every engagement real attention. Patient enough to grow only as fast as the quality holds. Flat fees, plain answers, work you don’t have to double-check. That’s the whole plan.
